TEMA MEDICAL JOURNAL
Ghana now has a second medical journal; the Tema Medical Journal. The only other medical journal is the Ghana Medical Journal. The Tema Medical Journal is available as an “additional vehicle for publishing medical research,” said Prof. Edwin Afari, a malaria researcher at the Noguchi Memorial Centre for Medical Research, University of Ghana. Programs
Current Programs offered at the College
The College is accredited by the National Accreditation Board (NAB) of Ghana. The College programmes for Diploma and Certificate are: The Registered General Nursing (Diploma), a three (3) year programme approved by the Ministry of Health (MOH) has been accredited by both Nurses and Midwives Council for Ghana (NMC) and the National Accreditation Board. The programme is being mentored by the University of Ghana, Legon. The Medical Assistantship (Advance Diploma), a three (3) year direct programme, has been approved by the Ministry of Health and has also received accreditation from the National Accreditation Board to operate from 1st January, 2009. All formalities have been completed with regards to affiliation with the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi. The Certificate programme for Health Assistant Clinical (HAC) and the Medical Laboratory Technicians have the approval of the Ministry of Health.
RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES
Students of the college are encouraged to take advantage of the electronic library and various research opportunities. Narh Bita College has been granted access to research on HINARI. Students can access HINARI's free journal database at the college library.

ADMISSIONS POLICY
Narh-Bita College admits students from all backgrounds without discrimination on the basis of religion, ethnicity, gender or political affiliations. Teaching, learning and research are our ultimate goal.
Consideration is given to qualified applicants from rural communities, because it is expected that they will return to their respective communities, where there is a dire need of qualified health workers, to serve after graduation
